Geographical Relations:
The Giant Panda lives in an area where many of China's endangered species live. Two species that the Giant Panda shares its area with are the Snow Leopard, and the Fin-Less Porpoise.
Snow Leopard:
The Snow Leopard is one of China's endangered species that shares land with the Panda. They both are located along the Yangtze River in China which hosts over half of China's endangered species. Snow Leopards vary in size and weight ranging between 60-121 lbs. Its binomial name is the Panthera uncia. |

Fin-less Porpoise:
The Fin-less Porpoise is another animal that lives within the same area as the Giant Panda. Like the Giant Panda, the Fin-less Porpoise is also an endangered species. This species is found in the Yangtze River much like the Panda and Snow Leopard. The binomial name for this porpoise is the Neophocaena phocaenoides. It is the only porpoise without a proper dorsal fin and can grow up to 5 feet long and up to 100 lbs. |
